Privacy

Privacy policy.

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This policy explains what information PlayKovo processes across the public game site, player accounts, embedded games, the Developer Console, and the publisher program. Most games can be opened without creating an account.

Information collected when you visit

Our hosting and security systems receive ordinary request information such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser or device user-agent, and response status. We use it to deliver pages, prevent abuse, investigate errors, enforce request limits, and protect game and advertising endpoints.

When an embedded game is opened on another website, we record the game identifier, referring page and host, user-agent, and time of the request. This lets us identify active publisher sites, investigate broken or unauthorized embeds, and report aggregate embed use.

Cookies, local storage, and gameplay measurement

We store your cookie choice in browser local storage under playkovo_cookie_consent. Essential account cookies are used by our authentication provider to keep signed-in sessions working. The site may also store interface preferences, recently played games, and local game progress in cookies, local storage, or IndexedDB.

If you accept analytics, we create a random first-party browser identifier named pk_vid. It does not contain your name or email. We use it to count daily visits, game sessions, returning browsers, and store-button clicks. A separate local value prevents the same browser from recording more than one site visit per day. Game-session records can include a random session ID, game ID, start and heartbeat times, and, for an external embed, the partner site associated with the session.

Advertising and SDK security events may use a one-way hash derived from IP address and user-agent. The hash helps apply cooldowns, stop replayed ad rewards, and investigate abuse without storing those values in the event record itself. Hosting and security logs may still contain the original request information for operational purposes.

Accounts and sign-in

We use account and database service providers to operate sign-in and save account records. Email sign-in processes your email address and authentication records. Google sign-in may provide the name, email address, profile image, and account identifier that Google shares during authentication. Passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are not stored by PlayKovo in readable form.

For player accounts, we may store favorites, recently played games, ratings, language or interface settings, and other features you choose to use. Public game counters and aggregate analytics are not intended to identify a named player.

Developers and publisher websites

Developer accounts can include a studio name, contact email, submitted builds and URLs, descriptions, artwork, rights and license evidence, review messages, API keys, game versions, analytics, advertising events, and revenue records. Uploaded builds, images, videos, and compliance evidence may be stored with access-controlled cloud storage providers. See the Developer Privacy Policy for the account-specific summary.

Publisher accounts can include website name, domain, ownership or verification details, contact information, catalog choices, embed activity, and game-session totals attributed to the site. We use these records to operate the publisher catalog, prevent unauthorized use, and show reporting inside the partner dashboard.

Analytics services

PlayKovo uses the first-party analytics described above and may use optional third-party measurement services. Which optional service runs depends on the current site configuration and your consent choice. When an optional analytics service is active, it is identified in the cookie controls. Google measurement tags may initialize before a choice is made; where configured, Google Analytics uses consent-mode signals with analytics storage denied until consent is accepted.

When enabled after consent, analytics may record page views, approximate location derived from network information, device and browser properties, clicks, scroll depth, game events, referrer or campaign parameters, and performance data. Microsoft Clarity can provide heatmaps and session-replay style diagnostics; it is not intended to capture passwords, payment-card details, or the contents of private account fields.

Advertising

The advertising system supports Google AdSense and Google advertising tags, and Yandex Advertising Network. Which provider appears can change by configuration, placement, geography, fill availability, or testing status. Advertising code can process cookies or similar identifiers, IP address, browser and device information, approximate location, page and referrer information, ad impressions, clicks, and fraud-prevention signals. Depending on your consent and the provider's settings, ads may be contextual or personalized.

Third-party ad providers process information under their own privacy notices and may combine it with information they receive on other sites. A provider's base script may initialize before a choice is made. Declining optional cookies prevents PlayKovo's consent-gated ad placements and optional event tracking from running, although essential security and request processing still operate.

Third-party games and external links

Some games are hosted by an external game provider and displayed inside an iframe. Opening one can send the provider your IP address, user-agent, referrer, and any information you submit directly inside that game. External games, advertisements, app stores, and outbound links operate under their own privacy terms. PlayKovo reviews integrations but does not control every data practice on a third-party service.

Service providers

We share information only with service providers needed to operate specific parts of PlayKovo. These providers fall into the following categories:

  • Account and data services that support sign-in, account records, game data, and platform administration.
  • Hosting, storage, delivery, and security services that serve the website and protect or store builds, media, and operational records.
  • Email delivery services that send requested account, developer, publisher, and review-status messages.
  • Advertising and measurement services when enabled under the advertising, analytics, and consent rules described above.

These providers may process information in countries outside your own. Their handling of information is governed by their terms, privacy notices, and our applicable service arrangements. You can contact us if you need more information about the providers involved in a particular feature.

Why we use information

  • Provide accounts, games, saves, favorites, embeds, submissions, and support.
  • Measure traffic, gameplay, catalog performance, and publisher activity after the required choice or consent.
  • Serve and measure advertising, apply reward and frequency rules, and detect invalid activity.
  • Review games, verify rights, host approved files, and respond to copyright or safety reports.
  • Protect accounts, enforce limits and terms, debug failures, and maintain the service.
  • Send requested transactional messages and respond to communications.

Sharing and sale of information

We share information with the providers above only as needed to run their part of the service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the platform, during a business reorganization, or to investigate fraud, security incidents, and rights complaints. We do not sell account profile information. Advertising providers may process data for ad selection and measurement as described in their own notices.

Retention

We retain information for as long as it is needed for the feature, security, accounting, contractual, or legal purpose for which it was collected. Account and submission records generally remain while the account or publishing relationship is active. Security, advertising, analytics, embed, and audit records may remain after an account closes when needed to prevent abuse, resolve payments or disputes, document a review decision, or meet legal obligations. Browser storage remains until it expires or you clear it.

Your choices and requests

  • Use most public games without creating an account.
  • Accept or decline optional analytics and advertising when the consent notice is shown.
  • Clear cookies and site storage through your browser; doing so can sign you out and reset local progress or preferences.
  • Disconnect Google sign-in through your Google account and request closure of your PlayKovo account.
  • Ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of information where applicable law provides that right.
  • Object to or withdraw consent for optional processing. Withdrawal does not change processing that already occurred lawfully.

Children

PlayKovo is a general-audience game platform and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children who cannot legally consent in their country. Do not submit a child's name, email, or other identifying information through profiles, support messages, developer submissions, or game fields. A parent or guardian can contact us about deletion of information submitted by a child.

Security and policy changes

We use access controls, encrypted connections, scoped service credentials, file validation, rate limits, and audit records to protect the platform. No online system can guarantee absolute security. We will update the date above when this policy changes materially.
